Welcome to the Hotel Metropole & Santa Margherita
From last 06.04.19, the road to reach Portofino is open again!

New Services: we are happy to offer other services, we have just completed the construction and the new gym and SPA, and massage room are operational. Soon the indoor winter pool will end, next to the summer one, always with salt water.

Sport and leisure

The town of S.Margherita L. has a tennis facility with four courts (800 m) and Rapallo
has an 18-hole Golf Course and Tennis courts (2.5km) for sports lovers.

Numerous dirt roads and old mule tracks are available for Mountain bikers, which pass through natural landscapes
with beautiful scenery, and lead to the discovery of historical places or medieval villages for an unforgettable holiday.

The mild climate allows hiking and trekking in the Park of Portofino all year round.
From April to May, the vegetation of typical Mediterranean scrub is in full bloom, the tracks are easy with no
exposed points and clearly marked signs that can be followed with the use of a map and a good sense of direction.

The Marine Protected Area of Portofino is a must for diving enthusiasts, which includes the towns of Camogli, Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.
This area of 360 hectares at the foot of the Portofino Promontory juts out into the sea for about four kilometres
and borders the Gulf of Paradiso to the west and the Gulf of Tigullio to the east.
These rocky beds are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna: Corallium rubrum, sea fans, sponges, madrepora coral and bryozoans.
In the beds where the rocks make way for sand, grow large prairies and scattered varieties of Posidonia oceanica, the lung of our seas.
The recesses and rockslides are home to the brown grouper.

Rental boats are available, as well as sailing courses.
